A Basketball Training Academy

🏀Helping Kids Grow Through Basketball

We help kids grow skill, discipline, and confidence—on and off the court.

Our training is for kids ages 7-18. Every session helps your child build:

  • Discipline: Learning to stick with things, even when they’re hard.

  • Responsibility: Taking care of their homework, their choices, and their effort.

  • Maturity: Acting with respect, listening well, and thinking before reacting.

  • Consistency: Showing up, working hard, and doing their best every time.

  • Smart Decision-Making: Learning when to pass, shoot, or slow down—and how to make good choices in life too.

Basketball is a great way to teach life skills. Your child will grow as a player—and as a person.

Meet Coach Mak

Founder, Head Coach

Coach Mak grew up in the Caribbean and earned a college basketball scholarship after playing at an International High School Competition in New Jersey featuring many future NBA players. He’s been coaching for over ten years, helping players to score more in real games not just in practice. He gets players to play with more skill, confidence and intelligence.

He learned the Constraints Led Approach (CLA) from Portland Fire Coach Alex Sarama, former assistant coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Drills are set up like real game situations with small challenges that keep practice fresh, fun, and game-like.

There are no cone drills or long lines. Kids play nonstop, learn to score at all five levels, dribble with purpose, and make the right reads every time. A proud dad, he has five kids who all play sports. One of his kids just got a full scholarship to play at St. Thomas University.
